How Juno Creative 2x Expanded its In-House Team’s Custom WordPress Capacity with Codelibry.

About the client

Juno Creative is a digital agency based in Australia. They provide a range of services, including website design and website development for mostly Australian based clients. Design and development are covered in-house.

The majority of websites are designed in Figma and implemented with Elementor page builder. Even eCommerce websites, powered by Elementor Pro + WordPress + WooCommerce.

When in-house team reaches limits of capacity or require capability to work with custom code to deliver something specific to client – they use on-demand help from Codelibry’s remote tech deparment.

Capacity challenge

With Elementor-based websites in-house team can easily deliver 4-5 websites per month, but sometimes there is a task to make changes on some of existing client’s websites but in-house team is busy. Juno Creative team does not want to hire freelancers because they are not very reliable and there is not enough workload for one more full-time team member.

Technical Challenge

While in-house team is focused on Elementor-based website – they usually require different stack of knowledge to work with the project and when the team goes into a position where a feature/task or client’s request is too complicated. They need a reliable partner who can help sort out things promptly without another full-time hire. ex: API work, Custom Search functionality or WooCommerce related changes.

Solutions

Tech Department over single-person

First, we’re plugged in the Monday – Juno Creative’s task manager system so tasks can be assigned and tracked correctly. Once assigned – our developer does the Job -> Our QA checks out if things are implemented correctly and sends over to Juno Creative. Hopefully, there is 0 comments and task goes directly to the client

While internal team quickly solved all Elementor based issues, when something more complicated shows up instead of wasting time on research in-house and block all other work – Juno Creative plugs us in to resolve any code or custom theme related questions.

Final Thoughts

You do not need to turn down the work, where your internal team lacks the expertise. You do not need to hire expensive developers in–house for when you have workload for about 300 hours per year for this person. Instead be like Juno Creative – use in-house team for what they are doing best and plug-in Codelibry when in-house team is busy or for a more complex custom builds on WordPress
